Thatch House Theatre, Nigeria, regularly perform in displaced persons camps where they reflect back through storytelling the struggles of the people’s existence. Tensions in some areas of the state pose a security threat and they are constantly challenged by the militia.
Using the community theatre approach, Thatch House Theatre creates plays for awareness, education and information on diverse issues ranging from female empowerment, health, agriculture, water, sanitation and the corruption that affects their daily lives
