“from destruction we weave peace”
Walid was a beneficiary for many years travelling long distances across Syria to take his puppet show on the road every week. His aim was to reach the children with his puppet theatre, to help them forget their troubled situation, to help them learn, to bring smiles and laughter.

This is a voluntary service, and Walid receives no support, beyond what the parents can afford to give, to help with the cost of travel and running costs.

When we asked Walid how we could help, he replied, “Give me bread and theatre, and I can bring civilisation”.

We are happy to report that Walid has found sanctuary in France and is no longer in need of our help.
